Bray Cancer HeartSome of you may be aware of the upcoming challenge on Sunday 11thMay next to attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the Longest Awareness Ribbon in aid of Cancer Research. This event will take place along the Cliff Walk from Bray to Greystones and it is estimated that it will take upward of 4,000 participants to hold the 5 mile long ribbon chain along the route.

The Caroline Foundation was established in July 2013 in memory of Caroline Dwyer-Hickey who passed away at the age of 35 years after a long battle with cancer. The Caroline Foundation is a voluntary organisation set up by the Cancer Clinical Research Trust in conjunction with Caroline’s family and friends. It’s goal is to fund a research scientist to work within the Cancer Clinical Research Trust through The Caroline Foundation Fellowship. The first holder of The Fellowship, Dr. Norma O’Donovan, took up the post on 1stJanuary 2014.
