St Patrick’s Festival Bray highlights ‘Fireworks’ and a ‘Big Funday Out’

Bray Chamber of Commerce organisers of this year’s St. Patricks Festival have announced the programme of details that include a fireworks display on Sunday 15th March from 7.30pm at the Harbour on Bray Strand.

“The voluntary planning Committee have put in a huge amount of effort in and are looking forward to the Festival. They are a record number of entries in this years’ parade which will add to the atmosphere of St. Patricks Day. All these groups have put in a great deal of effort into their entries and are really looking forward to showing what they have to offer the community in an entertaining way”, commented Chair of the Committee Mick Glynn.

The parade starting at the Town Hall at 3pm is one of the largest on the east coast and organisers are expecting 20,000 people to line the route. Other activities on the day include a Pre Parade party on the Main Street (1pm), and the spring funfair on the beach, which will keep the family entertained.

The ‘Big Funday Out’ is taking place on Saturday the 14th March at the Civic Plaza from 1pm to 3pm Entertainment for all the family will include live music, Irish dancers, stilt walkers, face painters, snakes and storytelling.

“We hope everyone visiting Bray has a great time during the Festival. A huge amount of planning and logistics have gone into the fireworks display.
