Opening of the River Dargle Walk
Local residents and tourists alike where delighted with the opening of the new walk along the Dargle River in Bray at the beginning of July, where people can now walk from the side of the Fran O’Toole Bridge all along the Dargle River to Seapoint Court, just before the Harbour. Bray Chamber President has welcomed the opening saying “As the work on the Dargle Flood Scheme comes to an end, we need to re-examine the Town Development plan, which has provisions for extending the walk further along the Dargle river, linking to other walks locally and also extending the usage for the river to include activities like Kayaking and canoeing etc. There is so much potential there with many local businesses in a position to provide new services and new amenities for locals and tourists so we need to make sure that we harness that potential”.
