Katie Taylor begins her quest for Olympic gold on Monday, August 15th at 3pm and like in 2012 Taylor’s hometown of Bray, Co Wicklow will erect a giant screen on the seafront. Fans are urged to come out and help cheer her on.
Pat Fitzgerald, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council added his best wishes “Katie Taylor has done her County and her Country proud. She is a great ambassador for County Wicklow and we wish her great success at the Olympics.
Wicklow County Council is delighted to be associated with the initiative to place the big screens on the Bray Seafront, this was a huge success in 2012 and is a great opportunity for the whole community to come out and support Katie”
If Taylor wins this fight the plan is have the big screen on the seafront again on Wednesday, August 17th at 6pm and for the potential final bout, which is due to take place on Friday, August 19th at 8pm.
