The events will explore themes and imagery from the 1916 Rising through a variety of disciplines including design, drama, film, music and light.

“I am delighted to announce the programme for Bré Remembers. 1916 has huge political significance in the history of Ireland and we have put together an exciting local programme for everyone to enjoy while making sure that the centennial celebrations of Irish Independence, established with the 1916 Easter Rising, is marked in a fittingly reverential and memorable way.” Commented Chairperson Coiste Bré 1916 Malachai Duddy.

Highlights of the programme include a musical ensemble by Bré Comhaltas Ceoltoiri and Craobh Chulann Monkstown, a projection mapping of the Proclamation against the Civic Offices, theatrical performance on Bray Seafront, screening of Mise Éire, and a National Flag celebration on Bray Head. Everyone is welcome to all the free public events.
